Overview

Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridges are allied subjects that are taught for all 5 years of the course, with 2 university exams held during this period. Understanding of dentures, crowns, bridges, implants, tissue replacement, preparation of veneers and smile design are crucial knowledge for any aspiring dentist.

HOD's Message

The Department Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridges is that branch of dentistry which provide rehabilitative services to individuals and brings smile on the faces. We are experts in the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth and/or maxillof acial tissues using biocompatible substitute. We train our students to prepare complete denture, removable partial dentures, and fixed p artial dentures. We prepare our students to fulfill the demand of our patients according to their need and affordability as we offer wid e range of treatment modalities for a single problem. Our post-graduate students deal with the special cases including implants, maxillof acial rehabilitation with prosthesis, and full mouth rehabilitations. Our department have well trained staff to look after academic education, pre-clinical laboratories, and clinical postings. We are committed to deliver prosthesis in a defined deadline so as to satisfy the patient aft er multiple follow-up visits. We organize camps with the Department of Public Health Dentistry to fabricate dentures on camp site with minimum appointments. We wish our students to become confident dentists and smile designers.
